Senior Manager, Product Management – Steppers

(Robotics and Automation, Novanta)

Location: Barcelona, Spain

You will lead the stepper motor product portfolio within Novanta’s Robotics and Automation segment. You will define product direction, guide a team, and work closely with engineering and commercial groups to deliver precision motion solutions used in advanced automation and robotic platforms.

What you will do

  • Lead and coach product managers, set clear priorities, and maintain execution discipline.
  • Define portfolio strategy and translate it into a roadmap that supports revenue and margin goals.
  • Partner with engineering, sales, operations, and marketing to shape product requirements and customer value.
  • Use market insight and data to size opportunities and support decision‑making.
  • Improve product management processes and ensure consistent portfolio practices.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships to remove barriers and keep delivery on track.

What you bring

  • MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another relevant technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical leadership role.
  • Experience in pricing strategy, product lifecycle management, and agile development.
  • Ability to balance technical, commercial, and customer inputs.
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to draw clear conclusions.
  • Experience identifying opportunities and supporting go‑to‑market plans.
  • Capability to mentor product managers and develop team skills.
