EMC and Regulations Engineer

Description -

We are looking for an experienced EMC Expert specializing in industrial machinery to ensure our equipment complies with applicable
electromagnetic compatibility standards and regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, testing,
and certification of complex electromechanical systems, ensuring EMC performance is integrated from concept to final product.
Responsibilities

  • Ensure machinery complies with relevant EMC directives and harmonized standards.
  • Perform EMC risk assessments and guide product design teams to mitigate EMC issues early in the development process.
  • Lead or support EMC testing (immunity and emissions) of machinery and systems in internal or external accredited labs.
  • Design and review EMC countermeasures such as filtering, shielding, proper grounding/bonding, and cable management.
  • Create and maintain EMC test plans, procedures, and compliance documentation for technical files (in line with CE marking
  • requirements).
  • Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to resolve EMC problems in prototypes and production units.
  • Coordinate with notified bodies or third-party labs for EMC pre-compliance and certification testing.
  • Provide EMC training and guidelines to internal engineering teams.

Education and Experience Required

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of EMC experience in the design, testing, and certification of industrial machinery, or consumer electronics,
  • or automotive, or aerospace sectors


Knowledge & Skills

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of industrial and consumer EMC standards.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial machinery or consumer goods from an EMC perspective.
  • Proficiency with EMC test equipment (e.g., LISNs, antennas, spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers).
  • Familiarity with EMC design tools and PCB layout considerations for noise reduction.
  • Familiarity with international EMC certification processes (e.g., FCC, CE, VCCI, etc …).
  • Digital fluency.


Soft Skills:

  • Orientation to results.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication Ability to communicate technical information effectively to cross-functional teams.
  • Dependable. Capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Fluency in English.
